Give It A Go is an events programme created just for students starting their journey at the University of East Anglia. It’s packed with one-off activities you can dive into at any point during your time here.
Our goal? To help you try new things, meet new people, and make the most out of your student experience! All activities are beginner-friendly, with zero pressure to commit long-term, just jump in whenever you like. Check the event listings to see if you need to book ahead or if you can simply drop by on the day.
You’ll typically find clubs and societies offering Give It A Go sessions at the start of the academic year around Welcome Week and again in February during Welcome Back. But don’t wait until then! Keep an eye on the Give It A Go events calendar, as there are often student-led events happening all year round to encourage everyone to get involved.
Whether you want to learn a new skill, explore a hobby, or just try something different, these sessions are for you. Plus, many are run by clubs and societies, giving you a taste of what they offer before you decide to join.
Already part of a club or society? Hosting a taster session is an amazing way to showcase what you’re about, attract new members, and even bring in some extra funds!
